I have now moved my main number to prepaid porting between providers using cheap starter kits each month. It was so people always see my main number. I have set up a backup number to accumulate credits when using telstra starter kits and anyone else in my family.

The local version looks like a second sim but it only has SD card functionality. The import version can with a bit of tinkering be used as a second sim with an SD card but it is a tricky mod from what I have read.

As jokiin mentioned when calling all can be set to prompt which sim. The better ones prompt you for the name of the SIM that you define instead of just he number making it more obvious.

More importantly it can be hard to see the sim sms is sending because they don't normally prompt, you have to be careful to look at the sim indicator near the "send" button. When taking on my first dual sim, I did make a few mistakes sending work stuff on my personal SIM, but quickly got the hang of it, until I changed phones.

That was on the nougat beta for the S7 Edge. This functionality is meant to be available at least in Singapore before the end of the year. Double check the last two digits which should be K5, not J2.

J2 version had the bug that you mentioned, but it's fixed in K5. I can make a phone call using my second sim Telstra prepaid while my main sim Optus is connected to LTE.

Of course, the second sim cannot be used for data connection although it's on 3G network. The second sim can be definitely used for a voice call and SMS messaging while the main sim is connected to LTE network.

One thing I just noticed is that the data connection on the main sim will be lost during a phone call using the second sim. Once you start a phone call with the second sim, the main sim's data connection is lost and cannot use internet during the call.

OR moto g4 plus but you miss out on NFC. Have you read the Wiki?? It summarises a bunch of phone bands and prices. I have looked everywhere but cannot find confirmation that it does.

If the chipset doesn't support 4G and 3G across the two SIMs, then the phone presumably cannot do that. It would be safer to assume the Huawei GR3 is limited to 2G on the sim not enabled for data based on similar phones of that vintage and chipset.

Both are dual Sim standby phones so 3g sim should work in the 2nd Sim slot. With standby sim phones you can only use one sim at a time but that is better than nothing. I'd prefer the dream travel phone with a million frequencies and will work everywhere.

This does not affect the performance of the built in GPS or mapping. I've been using Google maps for years, and if it were to not show the correct direction I were traveling in, I would not have purchased this phone.

Samsung and Zenfone phones with NFC can read these cards. There is an app that allows you to read the balance and transactions of an Opal card. Guess the Android version has some deeper access to the card.

Have a look here on Samsung's site: I'd be very cautious about getting that one. Aside from the differences in frequency support the software is very different as well, because of the censorship in China it doesn't come with any of the Google stuff that you'd normally expect of an Android device.

Also, due to the different hardware you can't simply flash a different firmware that does have all that stuff, such as the Aussie XSA one, it simply won't work. For S7 they are going to release 7.

The S7 Duos will work just fine, right out of the box in Australia. But other than that, most people would never notice the difference unless they went looking. If you leave it with the firmware it came with and apply all the updates then you'll be able to have 4G on one SIM and 3G on the other.

There are no Oz versions of S7 and S7E duos. Check their bands at frequencycheck. There's also a Chinese version, G but it doesn't have the bands and is for the Chinese market.

Recommend you put a 2nd Telstra SIM and confirm again. Its been in the Wiki for a while. The cause was a nano-sim in a badly fitting micro-sim carrier. Removing same ripped a pin out. Both are 'active' in that sense otherwise what would be the point.

When making or receiving calls, the modem locks to the active channel; the other channel would be ignored and thus unavailable during the duration of the call So if you have the SIM1 as your data SIM it will drop out when a call is received on SIM2.

Ur options are always spot on do was hoping u gave them another chance recently. Sound quality wise, I have no preferences on strong bass, warmth, etc, though I do like strong mids and a good amount of clarity.

For strong mids, the DT still wins over the HD25 in my book. As in fuller and having more of a visceral impact instead of this flatness. Although I did find the bass of my Klipsch x10i just a tad bit much as well.

If you want something even more fun than the X10, perhaps a more v-shaped set that brings up the treble energy in addition to the bass would be a good fit.

These are bassy earphones, but I find their bass more tolerable than that of the X10 because the rest of the spectrum balances it out in a way. Not a ton of bass, but it sounds very good for the price and has excellent clarity.

Anyways, I used to have a NuForce M, my first premium earbuds that introduced me to the hifi community, but I got tired of getting replacements due to its weak headphone jack so I got a JBL So I got myself another one, the a-jays three but what other people say, the highs, though not piercing, are tiring to the ears.

Then saw another deal for Shure SE, very warm, however you have to equalize in order for you to get the most out of the sound. As you notice, all of the IEMs I currently own are entry-level.

I wanted to move on to mid-grade IEMs, even high-end ones. I guess my ultimate question is, which one should I get first? Quite a few options there for IEMs and headphones.
